Reese L. Carson is no stranger to the Las Cruces area. A graduate of New Mexico State University and an influential community supporter, Reese has been serving Dona Ana County professionally since 1996. Carson, Associate Broker for Steinborn Commercial /Residential Real Estate and member of TCN Global Wide Network, has been known to wear many hats over the years.
Up until 2012 local residents would have known Reese as an amiable and successful banker rather than the thriving broker they know today. Carson has almost 3 decades of banking experience in 3 different States. Beginning with Farm Credit Services in 1984, where he was an agricultural lender and ultimately Acquired Property Specialist, Reese supervised the marketing and selling of bank-owned properties. In 1990, Carson moved to California as a commercial loan officer for First Interstate Bank of California. During the next six years, Carson enjoyed learning all aspects of commercial lending, including real estate and mortgage loans.
In 1996, Carson moved his family back to Las Cruces where he continued as a banker until 2012. During his banking career in Las Cruces and the surrounding areas, Carson obtained a vast knowledge of the businesses, banks, and individuals that make up our wonderful city, state and county.
With the same fervor he had in banking, Reese has quickly gained the recognition and trust of Las Cruces as a broker since 2012. As an Associate Broker at STEINBORN / TCN Commercial Real Estate, Reese strives to compliment the services of Steinborn and Associates Real Estate with the knowledge, experience, and contacts he gained in the banking industry. He is an invaluable liaison for his clients when dealing with lenders, appraisers, and title companies? ensuring a hassle-free experience and the achievement of his client?s goals. >From banker to broker, Reese Carson is eager to help Las Cruces residents with all their real estate needs.
Reese?s commitment to Las Cruces goes deeper than just economic growth?it is intensely concerned with community growth as well. In addition to banking and realty, Reese has served on many State and Local Boards for the past 18 years. He currently serves as the Chair of the Board for Families and Youth, Inc. He is also a member of the statewide loan committee for the Enchanted Land Certified Development Corporation, which partners with banks to provide real estate and equipment loans. In addition, he was appointed by the Governor of New Mexico and confirmed by the State Senate to serve on the New Mexico Border Authority. He continues to be a long-time board member for the Dona Ana County Crime Stoppers.
Reese has one son, Reese Carson II, who was raised in Las Cruces and educated through the Las Cruces Public School District. He is currently obtaining a degree at the University of New Mexico.
