Amy Hummer

Amy Hummer is the co-owner and Qualifying Broker of Steinborn Inc., REALTORS, which includes Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate – Steinborn & Associates. Steinborn, founded in 1968, is the largest real estate brokerage in southern New Mexico, and offers residential, commercial, property management and The Real Estate Institute.

She is from the Dallas area and attended Baylor University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Her career path includes commercial lending with Bank One, Texas, and managed care contracting for a national provider of maternal-fetal medical physician services. After moving to Las Cruces and discovering the quality of life and beauty of southern New Mexico, she and her husband acquired Steinborn Inc., REALTORS, in 2006. Nine years later, Amy assumed the role of Qualifying Broker and President. She was excited to announce in May of 2023 an owner partnership at Steinborn with Zane and Kayla Fikany (Z Real Estate team). Amy continues to serve as President, Qualifying Broker, and operating partner.

Amy is committed to serving her community and professional industry. She is a 2021 graduate of the Ascend Executive Leadership Program led by Anywhere, Inc. In southern New Mexico, she served on the boards of Mesilla Valley Hospice, the Junior League of Las Cruces, March of Dimes, Tresco, the Las Cruces Association of REALTORS, and the New Mexico REALTORS Association. Currently, she serves on the boards of the New Mexico State University Foundation, First American Bank, and the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce.
