University Corridor Real Estate

On the south side of the city of Las Cruces is the campus of New Mexico State University (NMSU), running east and west along University Avenue. There are several residential communities neighboring the campus.

The University Corridor offers a variety of arts and recreational activities. Museums and art galleries, professional theater, music ensembles and symphony, visiting artists, national performers, professional road shows, on-campus public radio and TV stations, a student-run radio station, an 18-hole golf course, tennis and activity centers, and a natatorium are available at NMSU Las Cruces. New Mexico State University is proud to be a comprehensive university and home to a dynamic and multicultural population. NMSU holds a place in the top half of institutions of higher education in Forbes’ America’s Best Colleges. The NMSU Las Cruces campus is the home of over 21,000 students, faculty, staff, and residents during the school year.  The Doña Ana Community College’s main campus is located on the Las Cruces campus, adding another 7,500 students.  These combine to make NMSU the equivalent of the 9th largest city in New Mexico.

Actually located outside the city limits, NMSU is also the largest land-grant university in the nation in terms of size, thanks in part to the Chihuhuan Desert Rangeland Research Facility, better known as the College Ranch, and a host of other facilities and campuses throughout the county.  All totaled, there are over 105 square miles of “campus” in Doña Ana County alone.
